Delete your account
If you only want to stop paying
You don't have to delete anything. Cancel the subscription instead, from Settings › Manage Billing in Pathways, or go straight to your billing page. Your subscription then runs to the end of the period you've already paid for, and your projects and photos stay exactly where they are.
Deleting your account is the other thing, and it is not the same: it cancels the subscription immediately, with no refund for the rest of the period, and removes your content. Read on if that is what you want.
If you can still sign in
Open Delete my account, or find it in Pathways under Settings › Account. You'll be asked to confirm, and we'll tell you exactly what is about to go.
If you can't sign in
Email support@codercraft.com from the address on the account and ask us to delete it. We'll confirm it's you before we do anything.
What happens
Your account is switched off straight away — you're signed out everywhere and nobody can sign back in. Any subscription is cancelled immediately, with no refund for the rest of the period you've paid for.
Then there's a 30-day grace period. Nothing is destroyed during it. If you change your mind, email support and we'll turn the account back on.
After 30 days it is permanent. We delete:
- Every photo, thumbnail and voice note, from our storage
- Every project, tag, part and annotation
- Your sign-in identity, so the account can never be signed into again
- Your sign-in history and any email we've sent you
- Your customer record with our payment provider
What we keep, and why
- Invoices and payment records. Our payment provider retains these against the deleted customer because we're required to keep records of what we charged.
- A deletion record. We keep the date the account was deleted and a one-way hash of the email address — enough to prove we honoured the request, not enough to identify you or contact you.
- Error reports. Crash diagnostics are kept for a limited period and are not linked back to you once the account is gone.
Deleting less than everything
You don't have to delete the account to get rid of content. A deleted photo goes to the Recycle Bin, in every version of Pathways, and stays there until you empty it; emptying it removes the photo for good. A whole project can be deleted on the website, and is recoverable for 30 days before it goes for good.
